Sad news …

Sad news ...
Sad news has finally come …

So Panda went to the vet today and we found out that she is really suffering now. We decided that it was time to put her to sleep. We don’t want her to hurt anymore. *sob*

I was up with her early this morning and she really wasn’t herself. She’s been struggling a bit this last week more than before. She has been on subcutaneous fluids and other meds for about the last year. The vet said that she had lost 2 lbs and was emaciated … and that giving her additional fluids and meds wouldn’t likely help.

It’s been about a year since we first found out about her kidney disease (she’s 6 years old now), and I’m glad that we were able to have some good times together this last year … it has really been a rollercoaster for me.

She’s been my little buddy through so much … and has been one of the most compassionate animals I’ve ever had — she always came to check on me with concern when I was in distress of some kind (like when I would yelp after brusing my leg or something). And she seemed to think that she could make me better … and she did just by pawing up my leg and caring.

I know that she’ll be a lovely angel … and will always be near to my heart.

I "told" my other kitty about it already, but I’m not sure how long it will take him to understand that she’s gone.

I already miss you Panda … 😦
